No HEPA, No Post-Construction Clean. It's That Simple.

If a cleaning company shows up to your renovation with a household vacuum, send them home. Here's why we refuse to work without HEPA filtration.

We get asked why our quotes sometimes come in higher than the company down the street. Part of the answer is in the equipment we carry up the stairs. We don't do post-construction work without commercial HEPA-filtered vacuums. Ever.

A household vacuum is a dust cannon

Standard vacuums capture the visible stuff and exhaust the fine particles right back into the room. On a job site, that means the drywall and silica dust you just ‘vacuumed’ resettles on every surface within hours — and your lungs get a share of it along the way. It also burns out the motor, which is why so many cheap crews leave halfway through.

If the dust comes back the next morning, it was never removed. It was relocated.

What HEPA actually does

A true HEPA filter captures the ultra-fine particles that construction creates and keeps them inside the machine. Combined with a top-down cleaning sequence — ceilings and vents first, floors last — it's the only way to get a space clean once instead of three times.

Three questions to ask any cleaning company

  • Do your crews use commercial HEPA-filtered vacuums on every post-construction job?
  • Are your cleaners OSHA-trained for job-site work?
  • Will a supervisor be on site, and will someone inspect the work before I sign off?

If the answer to any of these is a pause, keep looking. Your renovation is too expensive to finish with a shortcut.
